Amidst the dramatic restructuring of the global manufacturing landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping industrial value chains at an unprecedented pace. As the wave of "automation" transitions toward "cognitive intelligence", how can China's manufacturing sector seize the strategic opportunity of deep integration between AI and the real economy?
To help intelligent manufacturing enterprises bridge the "last mile" from "technological availability" to "commercial feasibility" in AI applications and secure a strategic advantage in "AI + intelligent manufacturing", the 2025 Shanghai High-end Manufacturing Seminar titled "The Path to Transformation and Breakthroughs of Manufacturing in the AI Era" was successfully held at China Haisum's headquarters on July 3.
The seminar was jointly sponsored by the Shanghai Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Association (SIMIA) and the Shanghai Yangtze River Delta Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Promotion Center, co-organized by Zijiang Holdings, and supported by China Haisum and Shanghai Zidan Food Packaging & Printing Co., Ltd. Representatives from over 40 leading enterprises across Shanghai's six major industries gathered to focus on the advanced technologies in intelligent manufacturing and discuss the bright future of the industry.

Xu Honghai, President of the SIMIA and an expert at the Chinese National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, analyzed the new requirements and challenges for intelligent manufacturing development under the new situation from multiple dimensions.
Zhang Hao, President of Shanghai Association for Artificial Intelligence and a professor at Tongji University, shared practical experience in applying AI to manufacturing, highlighting how AI can help find the optimal solutions among three critical variables: delivery time, product quality, and production costs.
Fei Haiping, Director of the Industrial AI Center at the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, elaborated in detail on the progressive pathways for enterprises to upgrade their intelligent capabilities from three dimensions: intelligent manufacturing capability improvement, AI empowerment in industry, and practices in work & application cases.
Zhang Zhi, Executive Vice President of the Company, provided a detailed introduction to China Haisum's strategic layout in smart management, smart construction, and intelligent manufacturing.
Zhu Jianqing, Technical Director of the Company's Intelligent Manufacturing Division, shared the China Haisum's breakthrough strategies in digital transformation from "construction" to "intelligent manufacturing" by addressing pain points in smart factory construction.
