On May 19, a delegation of nearly 50 members from the Jamaica Agricultural Product and Food Safety Management Training Class and the Honduras Food and Agricultural Product Inspection and Quarantine Training Class, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and organized by the China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries Co., Ltd. (referred to as "the Institute"), visited the Shanghai headquarters of China Haisum for an exchange event. This event, themed "Deepening International Cooperation and Building the Future of the Food Industry Together", aimed to promote experience sharing in technology, management, and innovation between food industries at home and abroad through on-site inspections and thematic discussions, so as to contribute to the sustainable development of the global food industry.
The delegation's first stop was the China Haisum Brand Exhibition Hall, where class members gained a systematic understanding of the China Haisum's engineering and technological achievements and brand development in sectors such as sugar production, agricultural product processing, food and beverage, and tobacco. Through digital sand tables, product models and case displays, the members got a firsthand impression of China Haisum's philosophy of "empowering industries through technology". They expressed their admiration for China Haisum's technological applications, particularly in green manufacturing and intelligent transformation, which provide rich case studies and valuable experience for the transformation and upgrading of the global food industry.
Following the exhibition tour, China Haisum organized a thematic exchange session on the food industry tailored to the professional backgrounds and work of the delegation.
Technical experts from GDE, China Light Industry Nanning, and Shanghai Headquarters of China Haisum shared their in-depth insights on sugar production, agricultural product processing and food & beverage from the perspectives of market, technology, and project performance. The GDE representative began with the global sugar industry landscape, sharing insights on sugar production technology and China Haisum's research achievements in sugar production, while presenting relevant overseas cases; the representative from China Light Industry Nanning focused on the optimization of agricultural product processing supply chains, highlighting China's innovation achievements in the deep processing of tropical fruits and vegetables; while the representative from the Shanghai Headquarters introduced China Haisum's technical expertise in the food fermentation industry through case studies. After these presentations, both Chinese and foreign delegates engaged in free discussions on the related topics.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited Bright Dairy's East China Factory, a turnkey project constructed by China Haisum. There, the members saw transparent production lines and learned about the intelligent management of the whole production process for dairy products from sterilization to filling.
This visit not only established a face-to-face exchange platform for the domestic and international food industries but also deepened the international participants' understanding of the current development status of China's food industry through technology sharing and project investigation.
In the future, China Haisum will continue supporting such transnational training programs to promote practical cooperation in food technology and industrial upgrading among countries along the "Belt and Road" and jointly address challenges in global food safety and sustainable development.
